Orange the World
It has been great to see so many UN Social 500 colleagues who have joined in the Orange The World campaign and coloured their Twitter profile pictures orange. The campaign seeks to end gender based violence, particularly against women.
Climbers and Newbies
This month we saw the biggest climbs from Manuel Fontaine (up 428 places to 106th), James Elder (up 229 places to 241st), and Anacurrea (up 222 places to 229th).
We also welcome new players Ravi Karkara Karkara (11th), SIDDHARTH CHATTERJEE (25th), and Giano (265th) to the UN Social 500 board.
Climate Change
It has been exciting to hear all about the climate change summit and I enjoyed this FT interview with Christina Figueres (#3 on the UN Social 500). Worth a read if you didn’t spot it.
Slack Community
Following a poll, I’m starting a slack community for the UN Social 500 to meet one another, share ideas and best practice. You can join here simply with your UN email address – http://unsocial500.slack.com. At the moment it’s a useful place to discuss the UN Social 500 itself (particularly helpful to let me know about people still on the board but no longer work for a UN agency).
Sponsorship
I’m hoping to get a sponsor for the community for 2016. Watch this space! If you know of any organisation that wants to support the work of the UN in building links with the public then please do send them my way.
Microsite
The microsite is currently on ice after it got hacked. I am hoping to get it back up next year but in the meantime we’ll continue to run the board on rise.global.
Anyway that’s all for now, I wish you and your families a lovely December and I’ll see you again in the new year!

It's been a while so you've been automatically signed out, please sign back in to carry on rising
